_GIOIELLI DI CARTA

In the heart of the Eternal city, Koefia designers exhibited their paper couture creations at Museo Boncompagni Ludovisin. The exhibition was honorably mentioned in Vogue Italia.

Designers were inspired by various fashions from the past to create original designs composed entirely of PAPER using couture techniques! Thirty immaculately designed paper dresses on mannequins filled the various rooms of the museum on opening night.

Some designers went solo, while others collaborated to create fashion art.
Here are some of my picks for best execution and design.

I went solo for this exhibition taking inspiration from Sorrelle Fontana.
I used a golden bronze tone circular perforated paper for the entire piece.

The shape of the body was formed using a metal-based paper as an inner structure.

The greatest challenge was the frailty of paper and creating an art piece that is truly wearable.
